The Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi, continues to top the global ranking in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Abu Dhabi ranked first among 50 cities worldwide, according to the latest ranking released by the "Deep Knowledge Group" based in London, as reported by the Emirati news agency "WAM" in a tweet on its Twitter account. A study published by "Deep Knowledge Analytics" unveiled the cities that are safest from the pandemic risk and best at responding to the COVID-19 outbreak during the first quarter of this year. The study relied on large data sets encompassing several criteria such as vaccine distribution, treatment provision, transparency, and governance. The ranking included 25 cities from various regions around the world, with Abu Dhabi being the best globally. The capital of South Korea ranked second, followed by Sydney in third place and Singapore in fourth. The study focused on the strengths and challenges faced by these cities in managing the crisis of the coronavirus that emerged in late 2019 and subsequently turned into a global pandemic. The ranking also considered economic resilience, the effectiveness of quarantine measures, and healthcare system performance.
