Head of Chechnya: We have sent troops to Ukraine to fight alongside Russia

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov confirmed today, Saturday, that troops have been sent to Ukraine to fight alongside Russia. Kadyrov made the statements during the third day of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, asserting that his country's forces fighting in Ukraine have not incurred any losses so far. He also urged Ukrainians to rid themselves of their leadership. Kadyrov emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin made the right decision to prevent any attacks on Russia from Ukraine. Additionally, a video captured Russian mobilization efforts in Chechnya to support the military operation in Ukraine yesterday, Friday.

On Saturday, Russia accused Ukraine of not responding to its call for dialogue, prompting orders to continue the Russian military advance into Ukrainian territory. The Kremlin stated that Ukraine had refused to negotiate, alleging that Kyiv missed the opportunity for a ceasefire. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that "Russian President (Vladimir Putin) ordered yesterday (Friday) a halt to the advance of main forces, anticipating the start of negotiations." Peskov mentioned that after Putin's order, Russian forces only engaged with "groups of nationalists" as opposed to regular Ukrainian forces. He added in a press briefing: "After the Ukrainian side's refusal to negotiate, Russian forces resumed their advance today," Saturday.
