Sisi in the UAE: The Phase Requires Addressing Attempts to Undermine the Stability and Security of Arab Countries

The Egyptian presidency stated on Wednesday that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, in the capital Abu Dhabi. Sisi arrived in Abu Dhabi for a visit aimed at discussing bilateral relations, as well as consulting and coordinating on recent developments in the region. The Egyptian presidency reported that Sisi expressed Egypt's solidarity, both government and people, with the UAE following the recent terrorist incident. Sisi affirmed Egypt's support for all actions taken by the UAE to address any terrorist acts targeting it, emphasizing Egypt's condemnation of any terrorist actions perpetrated by the Houthi militia aimed at the security and safety of the UAE and its citizens. Earlier, the Egyptian presidency stated in a statement that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi "is heading to the UAE within the context of the unique Egyptian-UAE relations." The statement added that Sisi "will discuss in the UAE the bilateral relations, as well as consult and coordinate on recent developments." The statement emphasized that this visit comes at a time when the current phase requires concerted efforts to protect Arab national security. The Egyptian presidency stressed in its statement that "the current phase requires addressing attempts to undermine the stability and security of Arab states."
