Dunia Batma Declares Her Innocence Along with Her Sister Amid Celebrity Blackmail Charges

Moroccan artist Dunia Batma announced her and her sister Ibtissam's innocence regarding the charge of being behind the infamous "Hamza Mont Bibi" account, which blackmails numerous celebrities with private photos.

Dunia shared a video on her personal Instagram page from a press conference she held with her lawyer Abdulatif Bouaichrin in Casablanca to announce their innocence.

She commented on the video saying: "The press conference was a mirror reflecting the truth that the public has long awaited. Thank you to the esteemed and heroic lawyer Abdulatif Bouaichrin for standing steadfastly on this case, accurately interpreting the facts for the court ruling, which acquitted me and my sister Ibtissam of managing the account due to the lack of evidence and our not having the password to access the account, as well as not being held accountable for the serious accusations that are fundamental to this case."

She continued: "The public was misled for a long time, and silence accompanied me for these days until today to reveal the truth. For those who contributed to misleading the great Moroccan people, remember that lies have short strands, and God is our best protector... By the court’s ruling, my sister and I have been acquitted of managing the account... it’s over."

Dunia added: "Thanks to the local authorities for their cooperation, and thank you to the Moroccan and Arab press for their attendance and coverage. There is a question that I know is puzzling you: why a year for me and a year for Ibtissam? This was explained by the lawyer. Abdulatif Bouaichrin explained that there are different reasons unrelated to this account, which is why we moved to the cassation phase, the final stage, and I have full confidence that Moroccan justice will rule in our favor, with God's permission. Finally, I can only say may God protect us and you from the evil of creatures, and thank you to all my followers and fans for your support and trust in me."

The artist thanked her husband, Bahraini producer Mohammed Turk, and after sharing the video, she posted a picture of herself in a short black dress, which she wore during the press conference.

It is worth noting that Moroccan artist Dunia Batma had previously posted a video on her Snapchat that provoked her followers, who mocked and criticized her, as she commented: "Did they teach you about my charm, or are they behind in their curriculum?"
