Macron Proposes Compromise After Losing Parliamentary Majority

French President Emmanuel Macron has suggested "legislating differently" based on compromises among diverse political forces, following a significant political blow that deprived his party of a parliamentary majority. Macron delivered a televised public speech after two days of consecutive meetings with leaders of rival parties, aiming to demonstrate his willingness to engage in dialogue. He stated, "We must collectively learn how to govern and legislate differently," offering to "build some new concessions with the political movements that make up the new assembly." He added, "This should not mean political paralysis. It should mean deals."
