The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has announced the commencement of public safety works on the coastal highway, westbound lane, in the Tabarja area towards Beirut, starting on the morning of Thursday, September 17th. Due to the nature of the works, which require the installation of large machinery and equipment on the road, and in coordination with the Internal Security Forces and Jounieh's Traffic Detachment, several lanes will be closed intermittently during the project, although the road will remain passable for traffic in the area.
The ministry urged citizens and drivers to adhere to the guidance of Internal Security Forces personnel and follow the traffic signals and signs placed at the construction site to ensure public safety and maintain smooth traffic flow, aiding technical teams to complete the work within the specified timeframe.
The works are expected to be completed within a day, after which the traffic flow will return to normal.
