Tourism Minister Walid Nassar received the president of the "Beirut Marathon" association, Ms. May Khalil, in his office at the ministry. They discussed the possibility of re-launching the "Beirut Marathon 2022" after it was paused for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They agreed to hold regular meetings between the ministry and the association to complete the necessary studies soon.
Nassar pointed out the importance of bringing this major sporting event back to Lebanon, which also contributes to enhancing the tourism sector and stimulating economic activity, in addition to showcasing Lebanon and its capital, Beirut, as we all love it.
He confirmed his participation in the Tyre Half Marathon organized by the association on June 19, 2022, in the city of Tyre.
