President Michel Aoun expressed hope for the appointment of a figure to form the government as soon as possible due to the pressing issues awaiting the upcoming government. Regarding maritime border negotiations, Aoun stated that Lebanon will inform Amos Hochstein of the unified Lebanese stance concerning the proposed ideas to resume indirect negotiations, which aim to preserve Lebanon's rights. He added, "We are committed to resuming indirect negotiations with Israel, which were halted after the enemy refused to consider Line 29 as a negotiation line." He emphasized, "The Lebanese side rejected the Israeli Line 1 and the 'Hoff Line,' and it is out of the question to compromise on Lebanon's rights to exploit its oil and gas wealth." Aoun reaffirmed the rejection of "Israeli enemy threats, which act contrary to laws and international resolutions."
