British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has agreed with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to cooperate to ensure stability in energy markets following the Russian invasion of Ukraine and to enhance collaboration in defense, trade, and security. A spokesperson for Johnson stated after his visit to Saudi Arabia, "The Prime Minister and the Crown Prince agreed to cooperate to maintain stability in the energy market and to continue the transition to renewable and clean technologies." The spokesperson added, "The Prime Minister praised the progress in the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, including concerning women's empowerment and work, but raised the UK’s concerns regarding ongoing human rights issues."
