Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that the world will lose to terrorism and yield to nuclear blackmail unless action is taken to prevent an incident at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, which is controlled by Russia.
In his nightly video address, he said, "If the world does not show strength and determination to defend one nuclear power plant now, it means the world is losing. It will lose to terrorism. And it will succumb to nuclear blackmail."
Russia took control of the Zaporizhia plant, the largest nuclear facility in Europe, shortly after the war in Ukraine began in February, in what Moscow describes as a "special military operation."
