Two Syrian workers were injured after the floor they were working on collapsed in Baalbek Plain and were transported to the hospital.
The National News Agency reported that the injuries occurred while pouring the second floor of a building owned by A. M. M. in Addous area of Baalbek Plain. The agency clarified that the floor collapsed during nighttime construction work in Addous, resulting in injuries to the two Syrian workers, who were taken by an ambulance from the Lebanese Red Cross to one of the hospitals in Baalbek.
The agency added that Civil Defense personnel, under the supervision of regional director Bilal Raad, continued efforts to remove the debris, utilizing an excavator, to ensure the safety of all workers present at the site. It noted that security forces arrived at the location and began an investigation.
In a separate incident, a fuel tank truck overturned on the main road at Rawcheh heading towards Ain el-Tineh, damaging two parked vehicles and injuring the truck driver.
Fire and rescue units immediately responded from the first sector to the site, and upon their arrival, a large amount of diesel was leaking from the tank, reaching the main road opposite "Beit Ward." The fire units took all necessary safety precautions to prevent any hazards from the diesel spill in the area.
The rescue team deployed a considerable amount of sand using a Bobcat machine along the stretch of road where the accident occurred, extending to the main road, to absorb the leaked material and prevent any potential slipping accidents and risks that could arise from it.
