George Brax, a member of the Syndicate of Fuel Station Owners, explained that "the continued delay of banks in delivering the dollar amounts owed to oil-importing companies for imported gasoline, as per the Sayrafa platform and prior approvals from the Central Bank of Lebanon, will lead to ongoing rationing of gasoline supplies to these companies for the local market and a decrease in availability of this substance for consumers at the stations, despite the fact that there are significant quantities in storage in Lebanon." He stated in an interview with the National News Agency: "Therefore, it is necessary for the relevant authorities, the Central Bank, and private banks to expedite finding a solution to this issue so that the crisis, which no one desires, does not return."
