Internet Coming Soon to Russian Trains

The Ministry of Digital Development and Communications in Russia is working on a plan to provide internet services to all trains in the country. Russian Minister of Digital Development and Communications, Mansour Shadayev, reported that "next September, our ministry will present a plan for a program aimed at supplying all railway trains in Russia with internet services." The minister noted that officials have managed to reach an agreement with the head of the Russian Railways, Oleg Belozyorov, to prepare a comprehensive program that will involve collaboration with mobile network operators in the country to establish a sequential mechanism for equipping all Russian trains with internet services. The new program is set to be implemented over a period of 5 to 7 years.
