German food associations have warned of the risks of food shortages due to rising raw material prices and energy costs in the wake of Western sanctions on Russia. According to the "Das Erste" television channel, the cost of raw materials continues to rise alongside food prices. In light of this, food associations have called on German authorities to take necessary actions. Christian von Becher, the president of the German Federal Association of Food Industries, stated, "At some point, the question may not be what our products cost, but whether we will be able to obtain them or not." Industry associations have warned that in the coming weeks, dairy and bakery product prices in Germany could rise significantly.
