Lebanese artist Najwa Karam has sparked controversy on social media after a dispute with her audience on Twitter regarding the banning of some fans.
Najwa Karam revealed that the main reason for the bans is the presence of individuals who sow discord among her fans and divide them, affirming that throughout her artistic career, she has not resorted to banning anyone. The Lebanese singer added, "Love that is not respectful is not needed, neither for me nor for my fans. I am angry at those who want to exploit this platform for hatred. There is a coordinated group against all of us from within the fanbase, and that is absolutely unacceptable; they have become a gang."
She pointed out that there are people relaying incorrect and false information to her fans from those who want to cause a rift between them and her. She emphasized that she would not have taken this step except to manage the situation and prevent conflicts that divide the audience.
The artist denied claims that there are matters happening behind her back of which she is unaware, rejecting accusations of negligence. She highlighted that some of her followers hinted that a specific person is behind her decision to use the banning feature, considering that such a suggestion is an insult to her, as she is responsible for this step due to the presence of infiltrators among her audience.
Some of her fans attempted to calm the situation, with one commenting: "The relationship between the artist and the fans must be based on respect, and we have always seen nothing but love and respect from you. This should be mutual; hopefully, it will be a lesson for all of us, but you have always been kind.” Another wrote: "Imagine, Mrs. Najwa, a person who has been following you for years, becoming an inseparable part of their life, disappears with the push of a button... that hurts a lot. Some people may make mistakes, but don't be harsh on the fans; you are very precious to all of us, and our feelings are in your hands."
