Saudi Arabia Executes Death Sentence for Husband Who Killed His Wife

The Saudi Ministry of Interior issued a statement on Tuesday regarding the execution of a death sentence in the Asir region against Ibrahim bin Ahmed bin Ali Al-Hussein (Saudi national) for the murder of his wife, Mahra bint Hadi Al-Husseini (Saudi national). He killed her by striking her on the head with a stick and burning her, which resulted in her death due to a dispute between them.

According to the statement, the security authorities were able to apprehend the perpetrator, and an investigation led to charges against him for committing the crime. He was referred to the general court, which issued a verdict confirming the charges against him, sentencing him to death. The verdict was upheld by the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to implement the ruling as decreed.

The execution of the death sentence was carried out today in Abha, Asir region. The Ministry of Interior affirms that the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is committed to ensuring security, achieving justice, and implementing God's laws against anyone who harms the innocent and sheds their blood. It also warns anyone who might contemplate such actions that they will face legal repercussions.
