Abu Dhabi Begins Today to Ban Entry of Unvaccinated Individuals to Government Offices

All government entities in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, will start on Monday, January 10, to prevent the entry of individuals who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 and those who have not received a booster shot to work premises, in an effort to enhance precautionary measures and maintain public health. The Government Support Bureau, in coordination with the Emergency and Crisis Management Committee, requires the vaccine and booster shot for entry to work premises for the relevant categories as determined by the health authorities. This decision applies to all government entities in the emirate, with exemptions for those with a valid medical excuse. The previously approved measures will remain in effect, including the requirement to present a negative PCR test result every 7 days for all employees and workers, service contract workers, and outsourced workers. For visitors, clients, and temporary workers, a negative test result received no more than 48 hours prior must be presented, according to Al Khaleej newspaper.
