Macron: Ukraine Will Have to Negotiate with Russia

French President Emmanuel Macron stated on Wednesday that Ukraine will have to engage in talks with Russia at some point to end the war between the two countries. This came during his visit to Romania and Moldova, where Macron mentioned that "the Ukrainian president and his officials will have to negotiate with Russia." Two diplomatic sources indicated that Macron arrived in Romania on Tuesday for a three-day trip to the southern wing of NATO, including Moldova, before heading to Kyiv, likely on Thursday, accompanied by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
