Jordan: King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Enter Quarantine After Prince Hussein's COVID-19 Diagnosis

The Jordanian royal court announced in a statement today, Monday, that Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II has tested positive for COVID-19. The statement said: "The Hashemite Royal Court announces that after conducting the routine test in accordance with the health guidelines followed at the Hashemite Royal Court, the result showed on Monday evening that Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, is infected with the virus."

It added that mild symptoms have appeared on the prince, who had been vaccinated against COVID-19, confirming that he is in good health. The court stated that, according to the health protocol followed in cases of contact by individuals who have been vaccinated against COVID-19, King Abdullah II bin Hussein and Queen Rania would undergo precautionary home quarantine for five days, noting that the test results they underwent today were negative. The royal court wished for the swift recovery of Prince Hussein and all COVID-19 patients in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
