The official spokesperson for the presidency stated: "President Sisi welcomed Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed's visit to Egypt, requesting him to convey his greetings to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the UAE."
President Sisi emphasized the unique nature of the Egyptian-UAE relations that have developed since the era of the late Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan, who contributed to establishing these vital relations, reflected in the close coordination between the two brotherly countries. He praised the UAE's supportive positions towards Egypt during many critical historical junctures.
For his part, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed expressed "his honor in meeting President Sisi, conveying the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the UAE," emphasizing "the commitment to enhance and strengthen the strategic relations between the two countries in a way that serves the common interests of both the nations and their peoples, and to bolster security and stability in the region, especially in light of the appreciated Egyptian efforts to maintain peace and security at the regional level during the current critical phase marked by increasing challenges."
The spokesperson clarified that the meeting addressed ways to enhance bilateral relations on various levels, particularly in the economic sphere and increasing Emirati investments in several sectors in Egypt, especially in energy, transport, ports, and tourism.
