Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Discusses Strategic and Defense Relations with U.S. Secretary of Defense

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, discussed over the phone with Lloyd Austin, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, the strategic relations between the UAE and the United States, especially in the defense and military sectors. They also addressed developments in the region and regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The conversation included the recent Houthi terrorist attacks on civilian sites and facilities in the UAE, which pose a threat to the security and stability of the region, emphasizing the need for a firm international stance against such aggressive actions. During the call, the U.S. Secretary of Defense reiterated the United States’ condemnation of these attacks and expressed solidarity with the UAE in facing threats to its security and territorial integrity.

Furthermore, His Highness and the U.S. Secretary of Defense discussed military and security cooperation between the UAE and the United States, as well as defense coordination between the two countries following the recent terrorist attacks in the UAE.
