The price of the first tweet by Twitter founder Jack Dorsey has dropped by more than 99%, now valued at only $14,000, after it was sold last year as a non-fungible token (NFT) for $2.9 million. This decline followed Tesla CEO Elon Musk's offer to buy Twitter for $43 billion. The owner of the tweet listed it on the NFT selling platform Opensea last week, expecting to sell it for at least $50 million. The market for non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, has been experiencing a downturn in recent months, with global monthly sales of NFTs reaching around $5 billion up until August, but sales dropped to $2.4 billion in March.
