The Army Leadership has launched a vaccination campaign against the coronavirus in military healthcare, with the head of the medical department, Brigadier General George Youssef, and the staff of the COVID-19 and emergency departments receiving the vaccine at the Central Military Hospital.
The National News Agency reported that the Army Leadership announced via Twitter the start of the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus in military healthcare. The agency added that the head of military healthcare and the staff of the COVID-19 and emergency departments have received the vaccine, marking the commencement of the vaccination campaign at the Central Military Hospital and healthcare centers in the regions, as part of the broader vaccination initiative that has begun in Lebanon, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health according to the adopted standards.
In a related context, security forces cleared the southern corniche of the city of Tyre of citizens. The security forces urged sports enthusiasts on the corniche to "adhere to the public mobilization decision to curb the spread of the coronavirus." They warned those who did not comply and issued fines against them. The Tyre Municipal Police set up iron barriers at the city entrances, checked incoming cars and vehicles, and verified identity documents and permits, urging respect for the public mobilization decision and the wearing of masks.
