Union of Editors Mourns Adnan Al-Haj

The Lebanese Press Editors' Syndicate mourned colleague Adnan Al-Haj, a journalist at the newspaper "As-Safir," who held a distinguished position in the world of economic journalism: an analyst, writer, and charismatic presence, quick-witted, perceptive, diligent, hardworking, and beloved. He combined steadfastness with a spontaneous sense of humor. He was also a sports enthusiast, especially in football, playing for the "Ansar" club and the Lebanese national team. In recent years, he succumbed to illness, yielding to the will of the Almighty.

The Head of the Editors' Syndicate, Joseph Al-Khweifi, expressed his condolences, stating: "Adnan Al-Haj passes on to meet his Lord, content and pleasing, after a long struggle in the contentious profession of journalism, as an economic journalist at 'As-Safir.' He made significant achievements in this field through his acquired experiences and his sharp analytical sense, which made him a reference point. He was a familiar guest on television screens, offering information and presenting a grounded, objective reading of issues. This enhanced his credibility and made him a reliable source.

Additionally, he was an athlete, not only a star on the football fields but also known for his cheerful spirit, charming presence, and notable humor. May God have mercy on Adnan Al-Haj, the brother, friend, and colleague who worked diligently, taking a stand in his newspaper and within the Editors' Syndicate to which he belonged, participating in all its essentials, showing commitment, and loyalty.

Heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, friends, and acquaintances. Rest in peace, and may paradise be your abode, among the righteous.
