Manchester United has expressed its solidarity with the team’s striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, following his painful loss of a newborn child. The club tweeted: "Your pain is our pain, Cristiano. We wish strength and love for you and your family during this time."
Striker Marcus Rashford also extended his condolences to Ronaldo and his fiancée Georgina Rodriguez, stating that his heart is with them.
On Monday, Ronaldo announced the death of his child, describing the event as the greatest pain a parent can endure and noting that the birth of their daughter provides them with strength.
Previously, Ronaldo and Georgina announced in December of last year that they were expecting twins, sharing a video of their children bursting balloons and revealing blue and pink confetti, symbolizing the anticipated birth of a boy and a girl.
Ronaldo and Georgina have a daughter named Alana Martina, in addition to three children from surrogate mothers: Cristiano Jr., Eva, and Mateo.
