Shocking Results on Meat After 50 Cases of Food Poisoning

The media office of the Ministry of Public Health issued the following statement: "After registering fifty cases of food poisoning in the Bekaa area due to the consumption of raw meat, the Public Health Directorate in Bekaa conducted tests on the meat at four butcher shops distributed in Saadnayel, Riyaq, and two butcher shops in Rashaya. The test results revealed that the meat sold by these butcher shops is contaminated. Therefore, the Public Health Directorate in Bekaa closed the four butcher shops with red wax after receiving approval from the public prosecutor." The statement added: "The number of cases requiring hospitalization reached 37, treated at the expense of the Ministry of Health, with only 6 cases remaining in treatment at Zahle Governmental Hospital, Rashaya Governmental Hospital, and Tamnine."
