Joseph Attieh: I Regret New Year's Eve Concerts and This is My Advice to Lebanese People

Lebanese artist Joseph Attieh expressed his happiness with his song "Tabe'i" released recently on YouTube during his appearance as a guest on the "LBC" channel.

Attieh mentioned that the wave of infections that occurred in Lebanon since the beginning of the new year, especially after the New Year's Eve concerts, made him think about regretting his performance at the New Year's event; he felt a sense of irresponsibility following all the developments that took place. He continued, "If I want to lighten it for myself, I think the event took place in a venue that did not exceed 50% attendance. However, it is certainly impossible to maintain social distancing while dancing. I do not deny that we felt some responsibility regarding what happened, but the country had reopened again, and permits were given to hold concerts. But I do not deny that if I could turn back time, I would not do it again."

Attieh also sent a message to his audience urging them to adhere to home quarantine as the situation has become serious, necessitating the required awareness to overcome the pandemic with minimal losses. His latest work is the song "Khat Ahmar," written by Firas Al Habib, composed by Bassam Mahdi, and distributed by Omar Sabah.
