Raids and Arrests of Those Involved in Motorcycle Theft

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "As part of the ongoing monitoring by the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces to combat motorcycle theft operations in various Lebanese areas and pursue and arrest those involved, notably after this phenomenon has increased within the Mount Lebanon Governorate, the division intensified its intelligence efforts to uncover the identities of the perpetrators. As a result of investigations and inquiries, two suspects were identified: B. A. (born in 1997, Syrian) and B. S. (born in 1997, Syrian).

Consequently, orders were given to determine their locations and monitor them in preparation for their arrest. On July 3, 2022, after careful observation and monitoring, one of the division's patrols arrested the first suspect in the Dekwaneh area, while simultaneously the second was arrested in Bourj Hammoud, and a stolen motorcycle was seized. During the investigation, they confessed to the charges of stealing motorcycles.
