Prince Harry revealed that at the beginning of his relationship with his wife Meghan, they "pretended not to know each other" in the supermarket, exchanging text messages about their shopping lists. The Duke of Sussex told the "Armchair Expert" show hosted by Dax Shepard that they tried to remain "incognito" during Meghan's first visit to London to stay with him in 2016, while he lived at Kensington Palace.
Life Like a Movie
Harry described his life as a mix of the movie "The Truman Show," in which actor Jim Carrey discovers that his life is a televised program, and being an animal in a zoo, while discussing his mental health. He stated that his life is like a film where every second of the protagonist's life is filmed, controlled, and broadcast to the world.
According to the Daily Mail, Harry, 36, who currently lives in California with his wife and son, mentioned in the program that he was born with exceptional privileges, but noted that he has changed since stepping back from royal life with Meghan last year, adding, "You can start in one place but you can change that at any time."
When asked if he did "normal things" like going to the supermarket, Harry replied, "The first time I met Meghan to shop for our stay together, we met at a supermarket in London, pretended we didn't know each other, and exchanged text messages while being apart."
