A zookeeper was killed in an attack by a Bengal tiger after the zookeeper fed the animal at a wildlife park in Central Java, Indonesia, according to an official on Monday. Zoo director Lulut Yakti stated that the zookeeper, Dwi Prasetya, was cleaning the tiger's enclosure in the Serulingmas Wildlife Park after feeding it when he was attacked by the animal on Sunday. Yakti said, "The employee was performing his routine duties when the incident occurred… the management enforces standard operating procedures that our staff follows." He added that the park has been temporarily closed pending an investigation into the incident.
