The actress Yasmin Abdel Aziz departed from Cairo International Airport today, Tuesday, heading to Geneva on an equipped ambulance plane to continue her treatment at a Swiss hospital from the aftermath of the surgery she underwent last July. Her husband, actor Ahmed El Awadi, announced her discharge from the hospital where she was being treated a few days ago, after her health improved, as she had undergone a delicate surgery a few weeks prior.
On July 17, Ahmed El Awadi requested the public to pray for his wife, Yasmin Abdel Aziz, stating that she was in the operating room undergoing surgery, without disclosing further details. He wrote on his official Facebook page: "Please pray for my wife and beloved Yasmin.. she is in surgery and needs your prayers.. O Allah, You are the Healer, able to do anything.. O Allah, alleviate her suffering and heal her." Yasmin spent a period in the intensive care unit of a hospital before her condition improved, allowing her to be transferred to a regular room for continued treatment.
