Doctors: Difficulty Waking Up in the Morning is a Sign of a Deadly Disease

Doctors at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia have announced that difficulty waking up in the morning may be a sign of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The Daily Express reports, citing the hospital's doctors, that there are two main types of this disease: alcoholic fatty liver disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Most people do not feel any symptoms of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which makes it highly dangerous, as the risk of death increases in its advanced stages. According to specialists, the phenomenon of an increased need for sleep and rest compared to what is usual, as well as pain in the upper right part of the abdomen, may indicate the presence of this disease. The main risk factors that indicate its development include being overweight, insulin resistance, and high levels of sugar and fats in the blood. Doctors suggest that the diagnosis of this disease can be made after conducting liver function tests. Additionally, these tests exclude the person from having other conditions, such as hepatitis. However, this method of diagnosing the disease is not always effective, so patients are advised to undergo an abdominal ultrasound, according to the doctors.
