Barcelona suffered another shock just days after exiting the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals, losing at home to Cádiz 1-0 on Monday in the finale of the 32nd round of La Liga. Lucas Pérez scored the winning goal for Cádiz just two minutes into the second half of the match held at Camp Nou. With this, Cádiz raised its points total to 31, moving out of the relegation zone to 16th place, while Barcelona's tally remained at 60 points in second place, 15 points behind leaders Real Madrid and only ahead of Atlético Madrid and Sevilla on goal difference, with one match postponed for Barcelona. Barcelona has not managed to win against Cádiz since the latter's promotion last season, having lost and drawn last season and drawn in the first match of the current season.
