Dr. Rima Moisenko, a Russian nutrition expert, announced that many people overlook wild plants that grow in nature, even though they contain numerous nutrients. The expert, in a conversation with Sputnik Radio, points out that nettle, dandelion, sorrel, and other wild plants are nutritious foods and valuable sources of vitamins and minerals. She states, "From nettle, dandelion, and sorrel, you can prepare juices, soups, and salads. These wild plants are rich in vitamins and minerals. Additionally, they improve blood health, the nervous system, and bowel function, and contribute to the increase of beneficial gut bacteria. Generally, these herbal plants contain beneficial nutrients and can be obtained for free." The expert adds a warning that these plants should be collected from areas outside cities and away from roads. She explains, "Plants that grow within cities may contain toxic elements. Therefore, it is better to gather them outside cities but away from roads and from environmentally clean areas."
