American pop singer Britney Spears announced her engagement to her boyfriend Sam Asghari in a post on Instagram. Spears, who has been fighting in court to terminate a conservatorship that has controlled her personal and financial affairs for 13 years, shared a video of herself standing next to Asghari (27) showing a ring on her finger. Asghari's manager, Brandon Cohen, confirmed the engagement to People magazine. Spears (39) has been married twice before. In 2004, she married her childhood friend Jason Alexander, but the marriage ended after just a few days. Later that same year, she married dancer Kevin Federline and had two children with him before their divorce in 2007. Asghari is a personal trainer and actor who appeared in the show "Black Monday" on Showtime.
