According to French newspaper "L'Équipe," Barcelona has already moved towards acquiring Mbappé and has entered discussions over the last few hours to sign the French player, aiming to secure him for free and snatch him from their traditional rival, Real Madrid. The newspaper reported that Mbappé has not shut the door on Barcelona and confirmed that the French player will certainly consider Barcelona's offer, highlighting that the French forward will focus on the new project the club is presenting under Xavi.
The newspaper emphasized that Barcelona hopes to finalize the deal for Mbappé, as the Catalan club believes the transfer will cost significantly less than what is required to sign Norwegian Erling Haaland, the Borussia Dortmund forward.
