A source familiar with the tournament's plans revealed that Qatar intends to allow ticket-holding fans at the FIFA World Cup to purchase beer, but at specific times. According to Reuters, the source stated that Budweiser, a major sponsor of the World Cup with exclusive rights to sell beer at the event, will offer its beverages within the vicinity of each stadium, but not in the stands or at the entrances. The source explained: "Beer will be available when the gates open, three hours before the matches start, and also for one hour after the final whistle when leaving the stadium." The source added: "Anyone who wants to drink beer will be able to do so."
