Qatar: Adequate Housing and Healthcare for All Evacuated from Afghanistan Temporarily

The Government Communications Office confirmed that the State of Qatar has provided adequate housing and suitable healthcare for all those evacuated from Afghanistan who are currently residing in the country temporarily, based on its ethical commitment to humanitarian issues. The Government Communications Office added in a tweet accompanied by a video that the State of Qatar has facilitated the safe passage for Afghans, journalists, diplomats, and representatives of international organizations. According to the video, teams were keen to offer children some juice and sweets to ease their fears and reassure them, and the children were seen playing safely. His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, stated in an interview with Fox News that the State of Qatar has welcomed nearly 7,000 foreign and Afghan nationals from Kabul, who were safely transported through transit in Qatar to reach their home countries or third countries that will accept them, and that these numbers are increasing every day.
