Interior and Municipalities Minister Judge Bassam Molawi is following up on the case of the assault on several young men in Al-Majdal, Jbeil district. To this end, he contacted the Director General of Internal Security Forces, Major General Imad Othman, requesting the mobilization of all relevant agencies in the department to apprehend the assailants.
In a conversation with the Grand Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdullatif Deryan, Molawi confirmed his commitment to pursuing this heinous crime both security-wise and judicially until the perpetrators are arrested and handed over to the judiciary.
He also discussed this matter with MP Ziad Hawat, who expressed his condemnation of the incident and emphasized the commitment of all Jbeil towns to maintaining coexistence. Additionally, Molawi addressed the issue with MPs Walid Baa’ri and Ahmad Al-Khayr, both of whom underscored the importance of apprehending the offenders to prevent sectarian strife.
