"Little Einstein" Prepares for PhD Studies at Age 13

A 13-year-old boy has been accepted into a PhD program in physics at the University of Minnesota, after obtaining a bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics. The parents of Elliot Tanner, who is often referred to as "Little Einstein," are seeking to raise $20,000 to support their son's continuation of studies after his acceptance into university. According to Michelle, Elliot's mother, his fascination with science appeared at the age of three when he surprisingly learned to read with ease and showed a love for numbers. The British newspaper "Daily Mail" reported Elliot saying, "I have a passion for physics, which I consider my favorite science, as I also teach it to college students." Michelle mentioned that her son completed the high school curriculum in two years at home and began taking university classes at the age of nine. She added, "Although he has grown quickly compared to other children, he still feels small to me. I hope he continues his education and achieves the highest degrees."
