The Dollar Without a Ceiling Unless...

Economic expert Louis Habika indicated that "there is no solution to the economic crisis in the country without a change in the internal political situation, otherwise the exchange rate of the dollar will continue to soar without a ceiling." He stressed that "no other country can help us; the change must begin from within because all countries have their own problems and crises." In an interview with "Voice of Lebanon," he considered that "the large supply of dollars during the election period was due to the festivals and celebrations, in addition to the money spent during this time." In response to a question about whether the solution in Lebanon lies in "dollarizing" some goods, Habika saw that it is not possible to dollarize spending without dollarizing income, which requires time for implementation; otherwise, it will lead to the closure of many companies in the country.
