Life Returns to Aleppo Airport Coming from Beirut

After the announcement of the resumption of air traffic at Aleppo Airport, which had ceased for several months due to the coronavirus, Syrian media reported today, Friday, the arrival of the first Syrian Airlines plane from Beirut International Airport.

The Director General of Civil Aviation in Syria, Bassam Mansour, stated that in implementation of the decision of the Council of Ministers, Aleppo International Airport has resumed operations after being halted due to the coronavirus. Mansour added that the Syrian plane arrived from Beirut International Airport and will return from Aleppo Airport to Beirut Airport. He continued, saying, "We note that all preventive measures have been taken at the airport to ensure the safety of travelers from the coronavirus." He pointed out that "the return of Aleppo International Airport to operation and the resumption of air traffic to neighboring countries contributes to reviving the economy and restoring the splendor of the tourist city of Aleppo."
