Aoun to Judges: Stand Up

President Michel Aoun addressed the judges of Lebanon, stating: "Stand up for your dignity and do not fear the oppression of those in power. Confront those who restrict the justice of the judiciary in the central bank and in the Beirut port explosion." He added, "Since June 9, the judges have been avoiding responsibility in prosecuting the Governor of the Central Bank for serious financial crimes." He continued, "I demand that the judiciary be completely free from any inducement or intimidation, and those who restrict the judiciary are certainly harmed by its justice and are indeed those in power."
