A massive fire broke out today at the Saint Bishoy Church in New Minya, south of the Egyptian capital, Cairo. No injuries or human losses have been reported. Bishop Daiscorus, the bishop of Saint Bishoy Church, revealed that the fire completely destroyed the church's contents, emphasizing that there were no human injuries in the incident. He added in a special statement to "Sky News Arabia" that the church was closed on Tuesday, and they were surprised by calls from residents informing them about the fire. The civil protection authorities were notified and arrived to control the blaze. He stated, "The church was completely consumed in the fire (destroyed), and the cause of the fire is still unknown." A security source reported that the emergency police received a notification of a fire at Saint Bishoy Church in New Minya, indicating that more than 10 firefighting vehicles were dispatched to handle the situation.
