Lebanese judge Ghada Aoun told Reuters that she issued an order on Thursday to prevent the travel of Tarek Khalifa, the chairman of Credit Bank, and to freeze all bank assets, including real estate and vehicles, as part of an investigation. Khalifa and the bank could not be reached for immediate comment. The judge did not provide further details. Ghada Aoun also froze the assets of five other banks this week and issued a travel ban for their chairpersons the previous week. No charges have been filed against any of them.
