The Best Drink for Hot Weather

Dr. Mikhail Ginsburg, a Russian nutrition expert, has announced that anyone wishing to quench their thirst and improve their health should drink a type of healthy and delicious tea. The expert mentions on a television program that this tea is hibiscus tea, which many people have likely tasted at least once in their lives. This tea is known by various names: red tea, Chinese rose, the drink of the pharaohs, Bedouin tea, but the most widely used name is hibiscus tea. The expert believes that many will want to drink this tea once they learn about its beneficial properties.

He adds that hibiscus tea is an excellent invigorating drink that is caffeine-free. This tea improves the function of the heart and blood vessels and lowers blood pressure levels. Therefore, it can be considered the best drink for those suffering from high blood pressure. According to him, this red tea helps stabilize metabolic processes in the body and accelerates the removal of excess fluids, which helps prevent swelling.

He further explains that this tea has a choleretic effect, improves liver function, and affects the production of bile — which becomes less viscous, thereby reducing the risk of gallstones. It is also beneficial for men's health. He advises that hibiscus tea should be stored in a dark place and recommends drinking 1-2 cups of it per day. In addition, Dr. Alexander Myasnikov recommends brewing hibiscus tea according to a specific recipe: place two teaspoons of hibiscus in cold water and let it steep for several hours or overnight.
