The National Center of Meteorology in the UAE has today urged the public to exercise utmost caution in dealings with the weather front affecting the country at the end of this week. The center stated on its Facebook page: "Please adhere to safety procedures during adverse weather conditions." It added: "Take maximum precautions and avoid valleys and areas where water accumulates."
The center has warned of reduced or zero horizontal visibility in various areas of the country, especially exposed regions, emphasizing that it is monitoring the situation around the clock and will update the public and relevant authorities on the latest developments.
The UAE Ministry of Interior has also advised drivers to be cautious while driving in unstable weather conditions to ensure safe travel, reiterating that community safety and the protection of lives and property is a top priority. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Police stated: "We ask drivers to be careful due to decreased visibility during dust and sand formation and to avoid using phones and taking photos to ensure your safety and that of road users."
