Dr. Yelena Tikhomirova, a Russian nutrition expert, announced that cinnamon has numerous benefits, as it reduces cellular aging and protects the body from the formation of clots. In an interview with the newspaper "Izvestia," she stated, "Cinnamon is the bark of an evergreen tree belonging to the laurel family. It has been used for a long time in the production of perfumes and pastries. The main benefit of cinnamon lies in its content of flavonoid compounds that have anti-inflammatory properties." According to the expert, cinnamon enhances the synthesis of nitric oxide in tissues, thereby protecting body tissues from free radical oxidation. Additionally, cinnamon positively affects blood vessels, improves blood fluidity, protects against the formation of clots, and reduces the aging of all cells. She mentioned, "These properties work when cinnamon is part of the diet. When used correctly, we gain benefits from it. However, consuming cinnamon rolls in large quantities, regardless of the amount of cinnamon in them, will lead to weight gain."
