Casualties Among Houthi Forces in Ma'rib

The Yemeni army under the legitimate government reported today, Sunday, that there were fatalities and injuries among Houthi fighters during battles in the Al-Jawf and Ma'rib governorates. A statement from the army's media center noted that "the army, supported by popular resistance and the coalition's airforce, has been engaged in ongoing battles for the third consecutive day against the Iranian-backed Houthi insurgency on the Al-Khanjar front north of the city of Al-Hazm in Al-Jawf governorate."

The statement added that the clashes resulted in the deaths of at least 19 militia members and injuries to others, along with other losses in equipment, including the destruction of two vehicles and three patrol cars.

According to the statement, coalition aircraft targeted enemy reinforcements that were on their way to the front, and the airstrikes resulted in the destruction of four patrol vehicles, killing everyone on board.

In Ma'rib province, eastern Yemen, the statement indicated that the army's artillery targeted enemy positions and camps on the Al-Mashjah front (west) and in other scattered locations in the southern front, leading to the destruction of three patrol vehicles and other combat equipment, as well as many militia casualties.

The statement highlighted that coalition aircraft conducted several airstrikes against enemy gatherings and movements on the Al-Kasarah front and other scattered locations west of Ma'rib, causing significant human and material losses among the militia.

Fighting continues between the army forces and Houthi militants on several fronts in the eastern and northern parts of the country, while the UN envoy is holding ongoing negotiations to persuade the parties in the Yemeni conflict to agree to a comprehensive ceasefire and begin the political process.
