Jordan: Naming the Largest Nursing Hall After Iman Urshaid

The Dean of Student Affairs at the Applied Science University in Jordan, Dr. Zakaria Al-Mubasher, announced the naming of the largest hall in the College of Nursing after the victim, Iman Urshaid. Al-Mubasher noted that a moment of mourning will be observed next Sunday, calling on all deans to hold solidarity gatherings in response to the crime committed against Urshaid, according to a statement to Al-Mamlaka Channel.

A person fired gunshots at one of the female students inside a private university north of the capital, resulting in her injury, and despite efforts to save her, she passed away shortly after. The assailant fled the scene, and investigations have begun to identify and apprehend him. According to eyewitness accounts, the student’s killer fired five bullets at her, one of which struck her in the head, while he was wearing a "head covering."
